Who we are

Allowance Helper is a service of Capitalizt Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 16890768. We are the controller of the information you give us. Contact us at help@allowancehelper.co.uk.

The eligibility check

The check on our home page runs entirely on your device. Your answers are not saved and are not sent to us. We do not use cookies, advertising tags or tracking on this site.

What we collect after you pay

We do not ask for National Insurance numbers, dates of birth, addresses or bank details. You copy those onto the form yourself.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

We use your information only to write the claim pack you bought, deliver it, and help if the claim is turned down. Our legal basis is our contract with you. Health information is special category data, so we also ask for your explicit consent before you give it to us. If the claim is for someone else, you confirm that they know and agree, or that you have the legal right to act for them.

We never use your information for advertising, never sell it, and never use it to train AI.

Who helps us

We use a small number of trusted providers under contracts that protect your data: Stripe for payments, Supabase for secure storage in the UK, Vercel to run the website, an AI provider to help us draft the answers, and an email provider to send messages. Where a provider processes data outside the UK, it is protected by UK approved safeguards.

How long we keep it

Your answers are deleted automatically 90 days after you send them to us, or sooner if you ask. We keep a record of your payment for as long as the law requires for our accounts.

On your device

While you fill in your answers, they are saved in your browser on this device so you don't lose them. They are cleared when you send them, and you can clear them at any time with the button at the bottom of the form.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, and withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
